True North expanding investment mandate to pharma, technology

Private equity firm True North has invested 30% of its fifth fund, bulk of which has been deployed, in healthcare services. It expects to invest a similar amount from its future fund in the sector, managing director Satish Chander told VCCTV. True North has extended its healthcare focus to include pharmaceuticals and is also tracking segments such as eyecare. He also talked about the possibility of investing in health-tech firms, consolidation in the multispecialty space and PE exits.
