02 February, 2009

Tholons Capital, an investment and M&A advisory firm has made a strategic investment in Global Gateway Venture Capital (G2VC), a venture capital fund based in US and Philippines. Besides sharing knowledge, the two companies will undertake global growth strategy among their affiliated business units.

Though G2VC has considerable business interests in Philippines, it does not plan to invest in India in the near future. “G2VC is not looking to invest in India, at least in 2009 but Tholons Capital will invest in companies and funds in India”, Neeraj Huddar, India spokesperson for Tholons Capital told VCCircle.

G2VC plans to tap tholons capital’s expertise in services globalisation to help its portfolio companies establish as innovation leaders in the open source, software development, and cloud computing in the global arena.

G2VC is a US-based venture capital firm that invests in Philippines based software technology start ups start-ups that leverage human capital. It is a proponent of the platform as a service and open source in Asia. G2VC’s portfolio companies include Morph Exchange, an open marketplace for software as a service application that delivers on demand platforms for running web applications in Asia and Exist global, a strategic engineering firm in Asia.

Tholons Capital’s investment advisory services are largely focused on the information technology and business services. It has, so far, closed deals worth over $6.3 Billion.
