In the 29th episode of TC Show Off, a weekly show that provides startups a platform to showcase themselves, their business models, USPs, etc, Mumbai based CrunchCommerce’s co-founder and CEO Dayson Pais showcased how the company’s mobile optimisation platform translates an ecommerce website into a mobile website and a mobile app.
Crunch has a studio through which a user can modify and optimise the existing desktop layout for mobile, generate landing pages, pick up templates and end up with is a conversion optimised version ready to go live.
It currently has customers like Cello, PC Jewellers, India Circus and The Elephant Company and has a team of 15 members working out of Mumbai.
It is optimised for 2G, 3G and 96 per cent of India’s mobile traffic.
“The biggest advantage is that we give you features which you can’t recreate because you are probably on a traditional platform or you are an ecommerce company which doesn’t have tech in its DNA,” said Pais.
“Ecommerce facilitators provide core services. Many Indian as well as foreign players including Magento and OpenCart are entering into this space” said Nitin Nayar, MD, Warburg Pincus.
Before setting up Crunch, Pais had co-founded Webly, an ecommerce consultancy and TextMe.
