Tata Group appoints James Shapiro Resident Director in North America

Tata group holding company Tata Sons today appointed James Shapiro as its Resident Director in North America. 

“Shapiro, a senior financial services executive with wide experience in international markets and regulatory issues, will facilitate the Tata group’s future growth in North America,” the company said in a statement. 

The North America office reports into Madhu Kannan, Member, Group Executive Council, Tata Sons. 

Prior to joining the Tata group, Shapiro worked at the Bombay Stock Exchange ( BSE), first in Mumbai and later as an advisor based in New York, where his responsibilities included global business development and BSE’s global partnership with Deutsche Boerse and S&P Dow Jones Indices, the company said.
