09 September, 2010

Bangalore and Palo Alto-based Symphony Service Corp has acquired Los Angeles-based CoreObjects Software, Inc., which provides new product development services. CoreObjects specializes in bringing commercially deployable products to market and has delivery centers in Bangalore and Pune.

Symphony Service, which is in the software product engineering services, is backed by investors like Romesh Wadhwani’s Symphony Technology Group and private equity firm TH Lee Putnam Ventures.

The deal gives Symphony Services access to additional re-usable components and frameworks for product development, it said in a release. CoreObjects specializes in helping emerging and established technology companies achieve go-to-market, budget and specification goals for technology products. It has 55 active client contracts in the US, Europe and India.

“With CoreObjects, we continue to strengthen our core offerings in product development and embedded product development with the addition of high-performance engineering development centers, skilled engineering talent and deep vertical market expertise,” said Sanjay Dhawan, President & CEO, Symphony Services.
