StanChart PE eyes secondary exit from Powerica

14 April, 2016

(SCPE) is looking for additional options to sell its four-and-a-half-year-old investment in generator manufacturer Powerica Ltd. The Mumbai-based firm had filed for an IPO in 2011 (but did not go ahead with it as the capital markets weakened), which would have given the PE investor an exit. However, it is now exploring a secondary transaction, according to sources familiar with the development.
