SAP Labs India Pvt Ltd has elevated Dilipkumar Khandelwal as managing director (MD) of the company with immediate effect.
Khandelwal takes over the role of Anirban Dey who resigned in June this year citing personal reasons. Since then, senior vice-president and global head of SAP Labs Network, Clas Neumann, was working closely with the SAP Labs India leadership team to ensure a smooth transition.
In his new role as MD, Khandelwal will be responsible for driving customer-led innovations and operations across SAP Labs India facilities in Bangalore, Gurgaon and Pune, in addition to his current global role as senior VP and head of suite engineering at SAP.
Starting his career as a technology consultant, he joined SAP in 2001 and took over the role of manager in 2004 and was responsible for starting the quality governance and production team.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Bombay University. Khandelwal also completed his executive leadership program at INSEAD and Executive MBA from Indian School of Business.
Clas Neumann said, “Dilipkumar’s leadership will be an asset in spearheading the next wave of innovation coming out of SAP Labs India.”
SAP Labs India is Germany-headquartered SAP’s third-largest research and development centre.
