Rishi Khiani Joins Times Internet As CEO

Rishi Khiani, who recently quit as the Network18 group firm Web18 COO, has joined rival media house Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd's (BCCL) Times Internet Ltd as CEO. Khiani became a part of Web18 when the firm acquired Urban Eye Media, a design and development company he founded. Khiani will report to BCCL managing director Vineet Jain, who is also the chairman of Times Internet, ContentSutra.

Times Internet owns two of the most popular news websites in India - timesofindia.com and economictimes.com. The company raised $7 million from Sequoia Capital India in 2005.
