Rajen Padukone, MD and CEO of Bangalore-based Manipal Health Enterprises Ltd which runs tertiary care hospitals in the country speaks about the journey of the company till now and its plans going ahead. Padukone discusses why the company decided to invest in IVF, other single specialty sectors it plans to invest in, its recent acquisition of 72 beds hospital in Malaysia and its expansion plans. Padukone also discusses how much capital the company has raised for its expansion and how much it plans to raise to reach 5,000 hospital beds mark by 2015-16.
