Even though the times are getting tougher, the companies that claim to have a solution to optimise revenues can land funding easily. Online ad revenue optimisation company PubMatic announced it has raised “significant” series B financing from investors including Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Nexus India Capital and Helion Ventures.
A statement from the company does not name any new investors in the second round. The release, however, said the investors included Helion, DFJ and Nexus, who had backed the company earlier too. The amount also has not yet been disclosed. PubMatic (alongwith its Indian parent Komli, an ad network, had raised $7 million in Series A round in January last year from Helion Ventures, Nexus India Capital and DFJ). PubMatic is founded by brothers Amar and Rajeev Goel..
The company also announced the launch of a new tool, PubMatic Premier, which will help large media companies increase their revenues from online ad networks while also protecting media companies’ brands. It will be available for global media publishers with greater than $5 million in annual online revenue, the release said.
PubMatic works with 5,500 publisher currently, the release said.
