Hyderabad-based Arth DesignBuild India Pvt Ltd, which helps startups design offices, has raised Rs 4.1 crore ($644,000) in a seed round of funding from former vice-president of corporate affairs at SAB Miller India Srinivas Tirupati, a company’s spokesperson told VCCircle.
Tirupati, a post-graduate in management from Carnegie Mellon University, the US, has worked at senior positions in companies like UBS besides SAB Miller. He has also served as a civil servant and is managing partner at STEM Mineral Resources LLP, a mining firm.
The company will use the funding to train building information modeling (BIM) professionals to serve global clients, Swapnil Sahu, director and co-founder of Arth DesignBuild, told The Economic Times that first reported the transaction.
Arth DesignBuild was founded in 2012 by IIT Kharagpur alumni Arun Chaubey, Kailash Chandola, Swapnil Sahu and Thumu Karthik Reddy.
Prior to founding this venture, Chaubey worked with John Henry Architects, Australia; Chandola has worked with Samhi Hotels and Jones Lang LaSalle while Reddy was associated with ventures such as Airtel Centre, Western Plaza, etc.
Currently, Arth DesignBuild is working on food delivery startup Swiggy’s Bangalore office.
