Och-Ziff Adds Four To Asia Real Estate Venture

New York hedge fund Och-Ziff Capital Management has hired a quartet from Morgan Stanley to boost its Asian real estate platform.

Each of the four hires come from Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing as executive managing directors, and each will be based in a different part of Asia. The new members of Och-Ziff Asia Real Estate will focus on building out the firm’s Asian real estate platform, which will invest in a variety of real estate and real estate related instruments.

Zain Fancy, formerly head of MSREI for Asia-Pacific, will be based in Singapore. Roy Kwok joins Och-Ziff in China after serving as deputy head of MSREI in that country. Bharat Khanna, former head of MSREI in India, will be based there, while Anand Madduri will be based in Hong Kong. Madduri formerly served as portfolio manager of the MSREI Special Situations Fund for Asia.
