In a down and out real estate market, the National Stock Exchange has purchased 80,000 square feet office space in Kurla. The property has been purchased from Unmesh Joshi-led Kohinoor City in one of the largest property deals this year. NSE, which is headquartered in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), paid Rs 15,000 per sq ft for the deal, reports Business Standard. NSE plans to use to use the office for its main operations as the BKC office is facing space shortage.

The last major property deal was in November 2008 where Standard Chartered bought 250,000 sq ft office space in BKC for Rs 750 crore, paying Rs 30,000 per square feet.
