Noida-based R Systems’ arm buys ERP biz of Singapore’s system integration firm

ECnet Ltd, a subsidiary of Noida-based software services and BPO firm R Systems International Ltd, has acquired the ERP business of Singapore-based system integration company Nikko Computer Systems (S) Pte Ltd for an undisclosed amount. Last year, it had acquired UK-based Computaris International.

Founded by Satinder Singh Rekhi in 1993, R Systems is a software, IT and BPO services provider. The company secured investments from Intel Capital and GE Capital in 2001 and 2002.

R Systems went public in March 2006 and its shares are listed in the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange. It provides software development and maintenance support to both large as well as medium scale enterprises.

In 2002, R Systems acquired Pune-based Indus Software. Two years later, it bought Singapore-based supply chain management product company ECnet. The company also acquired the US-based technical support company Web Converse in 2006 and the European Integrated Technical Support and customer service provider Sento Europe in 2007.

Established in 1980, Nikko Computer Systems provides customised business application software, ERP Package, security solutions, LAN/WAN networking and support maintenance, etc. The company has operations in other Asian countries as well that includes Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Vietnam.
