Pune-based global consulting and IT solutions integration company Nihilent Technologies has agreed to acquire a controlling stake in the SAP consulting and services company Intellect Bizware for an undisclosed amount, according to a press release.

The acquisition of Mumbai-based Intellect Bizware is expected to help Nihilent consolidate its capabilities in ERP consulting and implementation, business process optimisation and software product development.

"This acquisition plugs a gap in our offerings and also broadens our geographical reach. Further, the founders of Intellect Bizware will be joining the company, allowing us to laterally induct young talent into the business," said LC Singh, vice chairman and CEO of Nihilent.

Founded in 2007 by Sabahat Kazi, Lingam Gopalakrishna and Sanjay Gupte, Intellect Bizware is one of the largest domestic SAP practices in India with over 200 employees.

“The Intellect acquisition will not only help us in enhancing our value proposition to our existing customers, but will also enable to build up our readiness in serving domestic customers. We look forward to leveraging Intellect’s strengths in the areas of SAP consulting, implementation and support,” Singh added.

This is the second buy-out by Nihilent in the last 12 months, following its acquisition of US-based business intelligence and analytics solution provider GNET in October 2014.
