Deccan Cargo To Take-off In May - GR Gopinath's Deccan Cargo Express Logistics will start operations from May this year. It is planning to take delivery of three Airbus 310 freighters from the first week of April onwards. Earlier reports have said that IBM Venture Capital, Singapore Cargo and Intel Capital are in talks to invest in the company. Deccan Cargo will have a national hub in Nagpur. (Business Standard)

Infosys Looking at Healthcare Buyouts - Indian IT giant Infosys Technologies is looking for a $100-200 million in the healthcare services space. The company is looking at small acquisitions and has already started evaluating firms in France and Germany. It is also looking at the Japanese market. (DNA)

I&B Ministry Asks For NewsX's Shareholding Pattern - The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has asked for details of the shareholding, list of directors and the share purchase agreement from Indi Media. Recently NewsX was sold to Indi Media, an entity owned by Vinay Chhajlani, the promoter of Indore-based regional dailies Naidunia and Nav Dunia. NewsX, which was owned by INX News, was sold for Rs 50 crore to Indi Media, which owns 92% in the channel. (BS)

Sanjeev Kapoor To Launch 24 Hour Food Channel - Sanjeev Kapoor, the host of Khana Khazana, is planning a 24 hour food channel to be launched by April end. Kapoor is negotiations with a partner who will pick up a stake in what will be India’s first dedicated food channel. Besides Kapoor, food critic Rashmi Uday Singh and master bartender Shatbi Basu will also have their shows on the channel. (Mint)

Sahara, Apollo Group In Talks For Joint Management - Sahara Group, a diversified business group, is in talks with healthcare major Apollo Hospitals for jointly managing its proposed hospital chain. Apollo is already the technical collaborator for Sahara's Lucknow hospital and the group is now looking to expand this partnership. (Hindustan Times)
