Boutique investment bank Arpwood Capital has taken on larger peers in the investment banking sector, advising on deals across insurance, energy, cements and telecom industries. Last year, the firm was instrumental in large deals including the merger of HDFC Life Insurance and Max Life, the sale of Lafarge India assets to Nirma and Russian energy giant Rosneft’s takeover deal with Essar Oil.
