Mumbai Attacks: BSE, NSE Will Be Closed Today

27 November, 2008

After Wednesday night’s terrorist attacks – and even as Mumbai is still fighting gunmen holed up in hotels – the economic activity in the city is expected to come to a standstill today. The Bombay and National Stock Exchanges will remain closed today.

Most of the south Mumbai residents – including corporate honchos – are likely to remain in their homes cancelling their business meetings.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Indian troops and National Security Guards have stormed the hotels to rescue those who are stuck in the hotels. The fight between the gunmen and the NSG commandos are still on.
