Meridian Communications merges with WPP’s Soho Square

Ogilvy and Mather Pvt Ltd’s arm Meridian Communications, which offers marketing communications services, has merged with Soho Square Advertising and Marketing Communications, an Indian arm of the WPP Group that has presence in Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America.

The aim of the merger is grow Soho Square's business in India.

New York-headquartered Soho Square is a specialist marketing services company that delivers integrated marketing solutions including brand development, brand identity, strategic planning and integrated creative solutions.

Formed in 2003, Soho Square has three boutique agencies operating independently in India in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi.

The firm counts as its clients Yahoo, Avon, Bisleri, Pidilite's Raincoat, Hungama.com, Oberoi Realty, Honda Cars India Ltd, Nutrela Soya, H&R Johnson and Hockey India.

"Integrated solutions are central to our structure and philosophy. At Soho Square we can select and customise learning by drawing upon Ogilvy & Mather and other WPP resources in Asia Pacific," the company said.
