VCCircle Healthcare Awards 2014, along with VCCircle Healthcare Investment Summit 2013, which was held on September 25 at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, shaped into a grand event, bringing together more than 300 CEOs representing India's top and emerging healthcare companies as well as institutional and private equity investors betting on the sector.
The second edition of the annual awards programme for the sector brought together a distinguished jury comprising Rajen Padukone, group president, Manipal Education and Medical Group; Ajay Kumar Vij, co-founder & CEO, Asian Healthcare Fund; and Dr Om Manchanda, CEO, Dr Lal PathLabs.
The awards programme received several nominations along with a few recommendations by the jury members themselves.
After an extensive deliberation on the data collated by VCCEdge/VCCircle research team, the jury examined qualitative facts shared by nominated companies, debated on several names before deciding the winners for the awards.
The awards were presented for six categories, emerging multi-specialty healthcare provider, most innovative delivery/product/services entity, most indigenous medical equipment/device company, best diagnostics service company, emerging wellness/healthcare retail company and lastly the most promising healthcare startup.
