Majmudar & Partners said on Friday it has appointed Rukshad Davar, a partner at the law firm, as the head of its mergers and acquisitions practice.
Davar has led some “significant transactions” at the firm over the last few years and also built a strong competition law capability. He is, thereby, able to provide end-to-end transactional capabilities to clients, the firm said in a statement.
An email sent to the law firm to find out who was heading the M&A division previously did not elicit a response immediately.
The Mumbai-based firm also said in the statement it has promoted Amrit Mehta, a 2008 graduate of National Law University, Jodhpur, as principal. He will continue to work in the corporate/M&A, technology, insurance and real estate practices of the firm.
The firm promoted Kritika Agarwal as senior associate. She will be working on M&A transactions, competition law, finance and information technology matters, it added.
Majmudar & Partners, established in 1943, has a team of 100 lawyers with offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. It also has offices in New Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad.
