Loyalty companies do well during periods of recession

Techcircle.in’s Payments and Loyalty Forum 2013 had a number of interesting sessions that covered a range of topics to provide a holistic view on the payments and loyalty eco-system of India. One of these was a panel on ‘the evolution of Indian loyalty programmes: new innovations and the road ahead’. According to MS Ashok, COO, Accentiv' India, one of the panel members, 2012 was a good year for loyalty companies. “We generally tend to do well during periods of recession, since companies do not want to let go of their customers,” he said.
