Leo Puri, former managing director at Warburg Pincus India Pvt Ltd, has joined McKinsey & Co. (India), Inc. as a senior advisor during mid-December, the company has confirmed today.
Puri, who was part of the key team at Warburg Pincus and handling India investments, transitioned out of the PE firm in May last year after a four-year stint.
He joined Warburg Pincus in 2007 and focused on the firm’s investment activities in India and financial services investments in select global markets. He has now headed back to McKinsey India where he was a director and a co-leader of the financial services practice in Asia.
Puri holds master’s degrees in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford besides obtaining an MA in Law from the University of Cambridge.
