09 September, 2017

Mumbai-based legal-tech firm Legasis Services Pvt. Ltd has acquired research and advisory firm EthicsIndia which is operated by Ethics Research and Consulting Pvt. Ltd.

“EthicsIndia offers a unique content and service layer that will sit on top of Legasis’ compliance, governance and ethics platform,” Arun Kulkarni, co-founder and chairman of Legasis, said in a statement.

“With the support of Legasis ecosystem, EthicsIndia will create better awareness and sensitisation in the field of ethics and governance,” said Anita Shantaram, who founded EthicsIndia in June 2016.

EthicsIndia propagates corporate ethics through research, training and advisory.

Legasis was founded in 2006 by Kulkarni and Suhas Tuljapurkar.

This is the second acquisition by Legasis within a quarter. In April, LegaCS Corporate Services LLP, a subsidiary of Legasis, acquired two-decade-old company secretary firm V Sundaram & Co.
