Law firm Samvad promotes Ashwini Vittalachar and Apurva Jayant as partners

Bangalore-based law firm Samvad Partners has promoted Ashwini Vittalachar and Apurva Jayant, senior associates of the company, as its partners, according to a statement. The appointments will be effective from April 1, 2015.

Ashwini is based at the firm's New Delhi office while Apurva is based in Mumbai office.

Post this, the firm will have a total of nine partners, as per its website.

Ashwini started her career with Samvad in 2007 and in her current role as senior associate, she is advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital transactions, employment law, commercial contracts, general corporate and advisory matters.

She holds a BAL-LL.B. degree from the University Law College, Bangalore, and also holds a LL.M. degree from the Law School, University of Chicago.

Apurva, who joined Samvad in 2013, works primarily on mergers & acquisitions, private equity, venture capital investments, general corporate matters, banking and finance and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Samvād, she was working with AZB & Partners and also worked with Amarchand Mangaldas & Suresh.A.Shroff.

She obtained B.A., LL.B (Hons.) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, (2007).

“Both of them have been an integral part of the firm’s practice and we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them for the outstanding manner in which they have distinguished themselves in meeting client requirements across practices, sectors and regions,” said Vineetha MG, senior partner at Samvad.

Samvad Partners was formed with the merger of Narasappa, Doraswamy & Raja and V Chambers of Law.  The firm offers project finance, dispute resolution, financial restructuring, property finance and commercial litigation services to its domestic and international clients.
