KPMG India names Nishchae Suri as partner & head of human capital

KPMG has appointed Nishchae Suri as partner and head of people and change business in India.

Suri, who has more than one-and-a-half decades of experience with large Indian firms and multinationals, joined KPMG from Mercer Consulting where he was MD and CEO for India operations.

Prior to joining Mercer, he was a founding member and president of the School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) and was also a global partner with Hewitt Associates. He held a number of strategic leadership roles in consulting in India and other Asia Pacific countries.

"Nishchae joins us with great experience from varied roles in the past, making him a great asset to us. He has unmatched expertise in helping organisations succeed through people intervention," said Richard Rekhy, CEO of KPMG India.

Suri said, "I am excited about the prospect of continuing to build on a strong foundation and serving client needs holistically by integrating our strengths across strategy, risk, people and technology.”

Suri obtained an MBA degree from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune and a BA (Hons) Economics from University of Delhi.

The firm has recently appointed Utkarsh Palnitkar as partner and national head of transactions and restructuring practice as well as the national head of the life sciences practice; Ambarish Dasgupta as the head of management consulting, Vikram Hosangady as head of private equity and Shalini Pillay as head, human resources.

KPMG is a global network of firms providing professional services. The company has presence in 152 countries and has around 145,000 people working in member firms around the world. Each KPMG firm is a legally distinct entity and describes itself as such.

KPMG India is a member firm of KPMG International and was established back in September 1993. The Indian entity provides services to more than 2,000 national and international clients and has offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai.
