Online advertising firm Komli Media Pvt Ltd has elevated the current Chief Operating Officer Prashant Mehta to the Chief Executive Officer post. Mehta will take over the reins from the company founder Amar Goel, who will continue as Chairman of the Board. With this move, Mehta also joins the board of directors of the company.
Komli has also roped in Ex-Yahoo! India Director of Sales Strategy Gulshan Verma as Vice-President and Country Head of Ad Network (India and Middle East).
As COO at Komli Media, Mehta was instrumental in building the team and led relationships with many of the leading agencies, advertisers and publishers. He drove Komli Media’s acquisitions of PostClick (Australia) and Indoor Media (United Kingdom) in 2010. In his new role as CEO, Mehta will lead all operational, financial and strategic areas of the business globally.
“His strong leadership skills, industry experience and business acumen have helped Komli Media expand aggressively in the last two years. The launch of our Bangalore centre confirms our commitment to hiring the best and building the most innovative products for digital media,” said Amar Goel, Founder and Chairman, Komli Media. Recently, Komli Media raised $15 million in funding led by Norwest Venture Partners. Komli Media, which has established its second engineering centre in India in Bangalore, plans to hire over 50 engineers in the next six months across its Mumbai and Bangalore centres.
“The opening of our Engineering Centre in Bangalore will increase the pace of innovation and scale our offerings to meet growing demands as well as enable us bring greater value to our customers,” said Mehta.
