Just how much idle cash is India Inc really sitting on?

In the past few weeks, IT companies Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) and Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp, have announced share buybacks. While TCS will buy 2.85% of its shares worth Rs 16,000 crore, Cognizant will spend up to $3.4 billion (Rs 22,751 crore at current exchange rates).
