JP Morgan Appoints Kaku Nakhate As Vice Chairperson For India

30 April, 2009

It’s official. JP Morgan has appointed Kaku Nakhate as the Vice-Chairperson for its India operations. The firm has also appointed Manish Prasad and Avinash Gupta as co-heads of equities and futures and options.

Nakhate will be responsible for the equities, equity derivatives, futures and options and world securities services franchises in India. She was previously head of global markets at DSP Merrill Lynch’s India unit. Prasad and Gupta were also at BofA Merrill Lynch like Nakhate, a management graduate from NMIMS 1988, who started her career with DSP Merrill Lynch, as part of the research team and rose to the current rank.

JP Morgan is headed in India by Kalpana Morparia who was earlier a joint managing director of ICICI Bank. She joined the US investment bank last year.
