IT firm Mindtree names Ralf Reich as business head for DACH region

IT consultancy services firm Mindtree Ltd has appointed Ralf Reich as business head for the DACH region to lead its growth in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the company said in a release. He will be based in the company’s office in Cologne.

Reich, who started his career with IBM in Germany, was working with Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Ltd, prior to joining Mindtree. 

In his new role at Mindtree, he will be responsible for enhancing the company's presence across banking, financial services, insurance, retail, manufacturing, travel and transportation.

Reich has over two-and-half decades of experience in IT and has held various leadership positions. Before Wipro, he worked with Unisys where he was responsible for strategic outsourcing for Continental Europe.

“The DACH region is a key market for Mindtree, and Ralf’s appointment is a significant move towards growing our presence there. His understanding of the culture and market together with his expertise within the industry will be instrumental in helping drive growth in the region, an important step in our global expansion," said Mark Wilsdon, European head of sales, Mindtree.

Reich said, “Mindtree’s growth reflects the expertise-led solutions it has been delivering to its clients and I am thrilled to be part of the team, and with Mindtree, help support our DACH clients in gaining competitive advantage.”

Reich holds a diploma in Mathematics from Universität zu Köln.

This appointment underscores Mindtree’s investment in the region and strengthens its proposition as a value-added partner for European companies. Mindtree works with clients across Europe through offices in the UK, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Ireland and Germany. Mindtree’s European business contributed 28 per cent of the company’s revenue for the year ended March 2014.
