26 February, 2016

Delhi-based IoT retail solutions provider Freedom Smart Labs Ltd has raised around $145,000 (around Rs 1 crore) in seed funding from Kapil Goel, managing director of retail chain DCS Group.

The development was first reported in The Economic Times.

Queries sent by Techcircle.in to Freedom Smart Labs did not elicit a response at the time of filing this report.

Founded by Yogesh Huja, Freedom Smart Labs aims to help offline retailers target their customers better through its IoT (Internet of Things) offerings. The firm’s product, Freedom.desi, uses wifi sensors to monitor customers in areas around retail outlets, record footfalls and generate more customer engagement for retailers.

Currently, the firm has made its technology available in malls around Delhi-NCR, with plans to roll out the product in Dubai and Turkey as well.
