Indian PE deal value, M&A deal volume in Q2 lowest since Q4 2009

Lack of big-ticket transactions pulled down the value of private equity deals in India during the second quarter ended June 30 to $1.83 billion, the lowest level since Q4, 2009. However, early-stage investments continued to be vibrant, with an average of one angel/seed stage investment every three days during Q2 2012, as per data collated by VCCEdge, the financial research platform of VCCircle.
