Early-stage venture capital firm IncuCapital, a group company of the BSE-listed private equity player IndiaCo Ventures Ltd, has appointed Kris Nair as a Senior Partner.
Earlier, Nair had worked as an advisor with Lino and Innovation Lab. He was a member of the board of directors at IndicArtis. Also, Nair was a former advisor at the Indian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (IVCA).
“We have been working on expanding our team with people who have worked at grassroots level and have a deep understanding of the ecosystem in India. We are very happy because Kris is joining us. We believe that he can be instrumental in helping the company achieve its goals on fund and non-fund initiatives,” said Surojit Nandy, COO of IncuCapital.
Interestingly, Nair had started working at the age of 16 and turned entrepreneur as many as four times, and is an active startup evangelist.
IncuCapital has partnered with academic institutions across the nation and set up base incubators across various domains like B-Schools, engineering and medicine/pharma, as well as some niche space like law and hotel management. It is also connected with various funding organisations, such as Indian Angel Network, Mumbai Angels and other VC firms. Microsoft has recently appointed IncuCapital as its BizSpark Network Partner.
