Tech giant IBM India Pvt Ltd said on Wednesday it has appointed Karan Bajwa as managing director.

“I see great opportunity ahead for IBM in this market. By constantly reinventing itself and investing in innovation, IBM today is in a sweet spot to help businesses and governments with their digital transformation journey,” Bajwa said in the statement.

Bajwa will be responsible for all strategic and operational matters related to IBM India’s sales, marketing, services and delivery operations in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Bajwa is also an angel investor and had backed hyperlocal services marketplace FindYahan, which was acquired by on-demand home services platform Zimmber last year.
