How Staples Future co-founders aim to build a $200M revenues company before becoming a Fortune 500 subsidiary

In 2004, Shailesh Karwa and Sharad Dalmia entered the office stationery market by founding Officedge India. After three years of operations, the company roped in global stationery major Staples and Kishore Biyani’s Future group as investors and rebranded itself as Staples Future. Currently, the company generates revenues of Rs 200 crore and aims to scale up to a size of “at least $200 million in revenues” before becoming a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company. The co-founders are clearly bullish on the fragmented $8 billion Indian stationery market.
