Hector Beverages CEO on newer products, international markets and pricing strategy

Gurgaon-based Hector Beverages Pvt Ltd, which entered the beverage market with energy drink under the brand Tzinga has witnessed an interesting last 18 months since Sequoia stepped in as an investor. Apart from introducing ‘Paperboat’ a traditional beverage for metros, the company tried its luck at international markets and is also trying to position itself as a premium niche beverage brand. 

In May last year, the firm raised $8 million in its second round of funding led by Sequoia Capital and the capital is still being deployed. We speak to Neeraj Kakkar, co-founder and CEO of Hector Beverages on his expansion plans, pricing, and position of hector in the beverages market.
