Healthcare assets’ valuation high in India, Southeast Asia: Quadria’s Abrar Mir

Singapore- and India-based private equity firm Quadria Capital Investment Advisors Pvt. Ltd has deployed almost its entire $304 million debut healthcare-focussed fund following its two investments in Singapore and Vietnam recently. Its India portfolio comprises hospital chains Asian Institute of Gastroenterology and Medica Synergie, drugmaker Concord Biotech Ltd and Health Care at Home India Pvt. Ltd. In an interview with VCCircle, managing partner Abrar Mir talks about the investment scene and valuations of healthcare companies in India and Southeast Asia. He also speaks about Quadria’s exit pipeline and plans for a new fund. Excerpts:
