Grant Thornton Names KPMG’s Raja Lahiri As Partner

Grant Thornton International Ltd, a leading accountancy and advisory firm in India, has appointed Raja Lahiri as partner for its transaction advisory services. He will be operating from Bangalore for a period of one year.

A member of the ICAI and ICAWI, Lahiri was a director (transaction services and private equity) at KPMG and has 14 years of work experience across verticals like technology, infrastructure, security, real estate, pharmaceuticals and consumer markets (retail, food processing and restaurants).

Lahiri had focused on various aspects of deal-making such as deal origination and ideation, preliminary deal analysis, due diligence (financial and commercial), valuation, deal negotiation and advice on deal agreements. Other areas of expertise included post-deal integration and implementing exit policies for private equity funds. Lahiri had led more than 200 deals and advised various PE firms, venture capital funds and corporate houses in India and abroad.
