Mumbai-based investment bank Equirus Capital has formed a partnership with Clairfield Partners, an international network of investment banks present in 13 countries. The partnership will enhance Equirus' M&A capability and coverage across Europe, US, Asia and Australia, said the firm in a release.

Equirus has offices in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad. Since its inception in 2007, Equirus has closed over 26 M&A, private equity, and capital market transactions. Some of the recent deals it worked on include KKR's $175-million investment in Dalmia Cement.

“Equirus has had a cross-border focus since its founding. However it has become increasingly necessary to take our international involvement to the next level by joining a partnership that will give us people on the ground all over the world. We are seeing increased deal activity for both inbound M&A and outbound M&A, with deals in    industry, engineering, infrastructure services, I&T and BPO services, pharmaceuticals, and telecom," said Ajay Garg, founder and managing director of Equirus Capital.
