Economic Laws Practice partner Vikram Nankani named senior counsel of Bombay HC

Vikram Nankani, a partner of Mumbai-based legal advisory firm Economic Laws Practice (ELP), has been designated as a senior counsel by Bombay High Court among 11 other lawyers.

Nankani, who is currently one of the four partners and head of the litigation & dispute resolution practice at ELP, will retire as a partner but will continue to work with the relevant ELP services team on all ongoing clients, and matters as senior counsel.

He has almost three decades of experience and specialised in tax including indirect tax and corporate commercial litigation and arbitration.

Nankani is a fellow of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), London and a director of its India branch. He obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) from Jai Hind College, Bombay.

On Sept 29, The Bombay High Court issued a notification in which it announced names of 11 lawyers including Nankani as senior counsel.

Others include Anarkali Agni, Vinayak Daulatrao Hon, Sanjay K Singhvi, VK Ramabhadran, Ranjit Anandrao Thorat, Atul Gajanan Damle, Prasad Sudhir Dani, Pankaj A. Savant, Pratap Rau Sardessai Nitin Narain Naik and Mustafa Saleh Doctor.
