Cybernet-SlashSupport Buys Two US Firms

Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS) Corporation, a US-based remote infrastructure management and technology support services company with significant operational presence in India, has acquired two US-based firms, Glow Networks Inc and an arm of InteQ.

While Glow Networks is a telecommunications services and engineering company providing end-to-end network services, InteQ unit offers on demand IT service management, said a company statement. The financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed. Finvista Advisors Pvt Ltd acted as advisor for CSS in these transactions.

CSS is a private equity backed company with investments from SAIF Partners, Goldman Sachs and Sierra Ventures. Following these buys, the company plans to add telecommunication and IT convergence services to its portfolio, added the statement.

Nick Sharma, CEO, CSS Corporation, said, in the statement, “These acquisitions are an important milestone in the growth of CSS Corp, scaling our revenues and adding significant technical capabilities.”

Glow Networks, which was formed in 2000, is a $30-million company and is based in Texas. It currently has about 400 employees in the US, and provides services to companies such as Alcatel-Lucent, Ciena, Cisco, Ericsson, Genband and Motorola. 

InteQ, on the other hand, is claimed to be a leader in on demand IT service management (ITSM) space, and offers remote infrastructure monitoring services. It has clients across 90 countries globally, with presence in India as well.

CSS is headquartered in California and has its main development centre in Chennai, besides centers in USA, Poland and the Philippines. It currently has over 80 customers including Alcatel-Lucent, Sun Microsystems, and Blackboard Inc.
