Limited partners (LPs) are increasingly opting to build investment platforms or come in as co-investors with general partners in a private equity fund to have a greater say on the outcome of their bets. Still, the blind pool model remains the dominant choice of private equity investors.

But which strategy has worked best in India and why? What are the benefits and pitfalls of each strategy?
