Wetravelsolo.com, which is run by Kulmin Trocializing India Pvt Ltd, did not disclose the size of the investment.

“Wetravelsolo is a simple yet revolutionary idea - born out of our desire to explore the world. We are the first movers in the solo travel community in India and we will keep surprising and changing lives of  our audience with the beauty of our concept,” said Shefali Walia, co-founder.

Wetravelsolo.com encourages solo backpacking at a shoestring budget. The company connects like-minded people who can stay in touch through social networking features on Wetravelsolo.

It reviews the background of individuals before on-boarding them for a trip, keeping in mind the safety of women travellers.

“We are happy to be associated with this exciting concept which brings like-minded people together through a highly customisable and repeat revenue generating category like travel. We hope to assist Shefali and team to translate their vision into reality,” said Atim Kabra, director, Frontline Strategy.
