Bumi Geo Engineering Raises $9.4 Million From Dubai’s Alcazar

Bumi Geo Engineering Pvt. Ltd, a Delhi-based engineering company, has raised private equity investment of Rs 40 crore ($9.4 million) from Alcazar Capital Holdings Ltd, a $400 million private equity fund regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority.

Bumi is a specialist geo engineering company serving the infrastructure sector. Bumi currently operates in India, Singapore, Dubai and Europe. Within India, it serves the power and urban infrastructure sub-sectors. Its projects involve hydro-electric power plants and urban projects including the Delhi Metro.

Bumi was founded in 2002 by B. Jaikumar, Chairman & MD, an engineer, who has several years’ experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering. Bumi employs more than 2,000 people.

Alcazar is a $400 million PE fund in Dubai. Dinesh Tiwari is a Partner with Alcazar Capital.

JM Financial Consultants Ltd. was the financial adviser to Bumi for this transaction.
