Brigade Group to invest in realty-tech startup Snaptrude

Bengaluru-based developer Brigade Enterprises Ltd said it will invest, alongside other developers, in Snaptrude, an intelligence-enabled 3D rapid modelling solution for real estate projects.

The announcement was made at the graduation event of its second batch of startups from its accelerator programme christened as Brigade Real Estate Accelerator Program (Brigade REAP). Eight startups have graduated from the latest batch.

Snaptrude Technologies Pvt. Ltd, which was founded by Altaf Ganihar in 2015, converts hand-drawn sketches and floor plans to 3D models instantly with materials and estimates with which one can immediately begin the work. The software solution is being sold as a subscription service, charging $20-40 per log-in.

This is the second startup the real estate firm is backing from its accelerator programme. Earlier, the company had led a $540,000 pre-Series A investment into construction site operations and analytics platform QwikSpec.

“The first cohort of REAP saw success, with three of the four graduating startups getting funded. The fourth startup is currently in the process of closing its funding. The real estate industry is opening up to tech adoption as the potential for tech to improve operational efficiency is undeniable. Our role at REAP is to ensure that the startups curated during the programme are ready to tackle pressing issues of the industry,” said Nirupa Shankar, director, Brigade REAP.

The firm evaluated over 340 startups for cohort two from which the eight startups were inducted into the programme. The startups go through a four-month mentorship and training programme before being graduated.
