Bessemer Promotes Two India VPs To Partners

US-based investment firm Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) has promoted two India vice-presidents to partners effective January 1, 2011. The two VPs, Subramanya (Subu) S.V. and Siddharth Nautiyal, are based out of its Mumbai office. The firm has also elevated Stephen Kraus, VP at Bessemer's Massachusetts office, to the level of partner.

Several other global PE majors like Actis and TA Associates have also announced promotions of India office executives in recent months.

Subramanya S.V. joined BVP India in Mumbai as an associate in 2007 and focuses on investments in infrastructure and consumer businesses. He has been closely involved with BVP’s investments in companies like IL&FS Transportation Networks, Riddhi Siddhi Gluco Biols, among others. Prior to BVP India, Subu worked for investment bank Avendus.

Siddharth Nautiyal joined BVP India in Mumbai in 2006. He focuses on investments in the telecom, renewable-energy and healthcare sectors and has been closely involved with BVP portfolio companies including Applied Solar Technologies, Sarovar Hotels & Resorts and OnMobile Global. He spent five years with McKinsey & Co.’s Mumbai office before joining BVP India.

Bessemer also recently roped in Ashok Juneja, a telecom industry professional and former corporate director of Bharti Group, as its operating partner in India. Bessemer Venture Partners is a global investment group with offices in Silicon Valley, Boston, New York, Mumbai and Tel Aviv.
