BCP Advisors Promotes Three Execs

Mumbai-based BCP Advisors Pvt Ltd, which manages the Beacon India Private Equity Fund, has elevated two members of its team to vice president and one to associate. The firm has appointed Vivek Kohli and Gayatri Patel to the positions of vice president while Godly Abraham becomes an associate.

BCP Advisors manages two funds sponsored by Dubai-based Baer Capital Partners worth $350 million. They include Beacon India Private Equity Fund, a growth capital fund, and Beacon India Alpha Equity Fund, a long/short equity fund.

Kohli, who joined BCP in 2008 from Clearwater Capital Partners, has an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management and a BSC (Hons) from IIT Kharagpur. He has also worked in the financial advisory services team at Price Waterhouse Coopers, Hewlett Packard and Yasu Technologies.

Patel has been with BCP since 2007, joining from Kotak Investment Bank’s M&A team. Prior to this she worked with IDFC Private Equity and Wasserstein Perella in Healthcare M&A (New York). Patel has an MBA from INSEAD and a BA in Economics from Smith College, USA.

Abraham, an IIM-A passout, joined BCP in 2007 from the structured product funds group of Kotak Bank.
