BCP Advisors Pvt Ltd has announced promotions of Anshuman Goenka and Kunal Rakshit. Mumbai-based BCP Advisors, an alternative asset advisory firm, manages two funds sponsored by Dubai-based Baer Capital Partners. They include Beacon India Private Equity Fund, a $200 million growth capital fund, and Beacon India Alpha Equity Fund, a long/short equity fund.
Goenka, till recently a vice-president, has been elevated to the position of Director. He joined BCP in 2007 from Rabo India Finance, where he was director of capital markets team. He has also worked with the likes of NDTV, BCG & Accenture. Goenka has an MBA from the Indian
School of Business and an MA from the University of Cambridge. He represents BCP on the board of two of its portfolio firms - A2Z Maintenance & Engineering Pvt Ltd and New Horizon Media Pvt Ltd.
Rakshit, a former entrepreneur, has been promoted to Vice President from Associate. He joined BCP in 2007 after selling MAX 10/10, a hypermarket in Pune, which he founded and ran as CEO. An IIM Bangalore pass-out, he has also worked with Hindustan Lever. Rakshit represents BCP on board of Impresario.
