Mumbai-based investment bank Avendus Capital has further strengthened its wealth management team by appointing George Mitra as Executive Director for its wealth management business. Mitra was till recently with Deutsche Bank's wealth management unit, and was also heading the Delhi office. He would continue to be based out of the city and report to CEO Nikhil Kapadia, another former Deutsche hand.
Mitra, who has fifteen years of experience in corporate finance and wealth management, will also be in-charge of the NRI business.
Avendus has also made several other senior level appointments for its wealth management foray. In April, it appointed Fidelity's Munish Randev as executive director and head of product and advisory services in the firm. In February, Avdnus hired Ritu Jain and Kartik Kini. Jain joined Avendus as executive director, while Kini as chief administrative officer.
