Asheesh Chatterjee New CFO Of Reliance Broadcast; To Focus on M&A

Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd has roped in Asheesh Chatterjee as its chief financial officer (CFO). In his new role, Chatterjee will lead the finance and the legal side of the business, and will also take initiative for fund raising, merger & acquisition and joint ventures.

A qualified chartered and cost accountant, Chatterjee has more than 15 years of work experience across sectors like assurance and consulting, financial services, manufacturing and media and entertainment.

During his previous stints, Chatterjee held senior finance positions with leading companies like Moser Baer, Sony Entertainment Television (Multi Screen Media), ICICI Prudential Asset Management and Ernst & Young. He also had a diverse portfolio spanning strategic finance, corporate structuring, operational finance, tax planning, and audit, treasury and investor/analyst relations.

In his last assignment as the CFO (entertainment business) of Moser Baer, Chatterjee was involved in setting up the home entertainment and film divisions which emerged as the largest home video company in the country within a year of its launch.

“Asheesh’s varied background across critical financial and legal portfolios will add value to the young company at a critical growth juncture,” said Tarun Katial, CEO of Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd.
